For its 9th edition, 12 Points Festival returns to its Irish home in Project Arts Centre, following a trip to Umeå, Sweden last year.
Over 4 nights, the festival will presents 12 young, cutting-edge jazz acts from 12 different European countries.

Sweden’s Black Dough mix Peter Brötzman-like skronk jazz with a punk-rock energy & aesthetic, creating a sound that is immersive and open.
From Dublin, we have quintet Umbra – the mature, cohesive writing from band leader guitarist Chris Guilfoyle combines the rich harmonic world of contemporary jazz and the cyclical grooves of the likes of Meshuggah and Aphex Twin.
Swiss über-jazz group Hildegard Lernt Fliegen is a rare thing – very high level players and excellent writing, but also a great sense of fun and desire to entertain. Led by vocalist Andreas Schaerer – a vaudevillian front man who beguiles his audience with vocal gymnastics including beatboxing and incredible instrument mimicry, topped off with his undeniable stage presence.
