Virta

The free jazz scene in Hungary is teeming with talent at the moment, and A.M.P. Trio are an example of the energy and appetite for improv amongst Magyar jazz musicians. A surprising, energetic and creative piano trio.

Austrian-born but Berlin-based piano prodigy Elias Stemeseder has been nurtured in a trio with American avant-garde drummer Jim Black and plays solo with a very unique pulse.

Finnish trio Virta create a big expansive sound, delicately melding inventive electronic effects and atmospheric vocals into an elegant, modern melange.
