Rhizome Artist Announced

We are delighted to announce that Visual Artist Louis Haugh has been selected for the Rhizome Project. Louis will be working with the community at Fatima Groups United, under the mentorship of artist Maeve Stone, and will also engage with multiple partner organisations across the project.

Rhizome aims to grow new artists in the context of climate communication and support them through a learning network of experts from the Arts and Science community.

Louis Haugh is a visual artist, photographer and community facilitator based in Dublin. He holds a BA (hons) in Photography from IADT (2011) and an MFA in Fine Art from NCAD (2021). Haugh’s multimedia practice sits at the intersection of arts and ecology, and is informed by micro-histories, story-telling and archives. Haugh’s work invites audiences from diverse backgrounds and is often rooted in his own queer identity and working class background.

Recent projects include; No Thing is Nothing, a joint publication & exhibition with collaborator Eve Parnell, Atelier Umraum, Kiel, 2022. If Trees Could Talk, an Arts & Education Commission with collaborator Anne Bradley by Fingal CoCo for Cruinniu na n’Øg, 2021.
