RELATIVELY SPEAKING GALLERY TOUR October 2014

Tour bookings are free.
To book your place on the tour, please contact our box office in person or by phone (01 8819 613).
Following the success of our first two guided walking tours, we are delighted to announce a third in the series!
Would you like an opportunity to introduce your friends and family to contemporary art? Three of Dublin’s most well-known city-centre contemporary art galleries, Project Arts Centre, The Douglas Hyde Gallery and Temple Bar Gallery + Studios are joining forces to offer a guided walking tour that takes place across these venues. The tours introduce their current exhibitions to those who might not be so familiar with contemporary art and offer an interesting insight into the work for those who are. The whole tour will take about 60 min approximately with 15 – 20 min tours taking place in each gallery.
Starting at Project Arts Centre, visitors will be treated to a guided tour of the exhibition The Queen still falls to you by Assistant Curator Emer Lynch. This is a solo exhibition by Canadian artists Hadley+Maxwell. Emer will then walk the visitors to the next venue, Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, where Assistant Curator Sophie Behal will give an introduction to the exhibition The Sophisticated Neanderthal Interview by Nathaniel Mellors. Finally, visitors will be led to The Douglas Hyde Gallery, where Gallery Assistant Rachel McIntyre will give a short tour of Peter Gallo’s solo exhibition in Gallery 1 as well as Lois Weinberger’s solo exhibition in Gallery 2.
We’ll meet on Friday 10 October 12.00pm here at Project Arts Centre.
Book a spot for your parents, friends, cousins, housemates and anyone who you think might like to learn more about the things you love!
