Caitríona Ní Mhurchú and Little Wolf Productions as part of Tiger Dublin Fringe present
This is a show about super-peasants from the west, suburbia in the ’80s, state-making, sound, walking in single file, chewing seaweed, hauling sand, squatting, and smoking cigarettes.
Touching, evocative and, at times, funny, this poetic piece from performer and writer Caitríona Ní Mhurcú, in collaboration with award-winning visual artist Adam Gibney, draws on autobiographical and archive material and rare film footage to explore the loneliness and dislocation of being an Irish speaker in an urban environment, through the prism of Peig Sayers and the beautiful, bleak landscape of the Great Blasket.
