MISS JULIE

It is Midsummer’s Eve and passions are running high. The aristocratic Miss Julie has behaved rashly and is about to commit an even more unthinkable act. As the night wears on, it becomes clear that something terrible will happen.
Landmark returns to Project Arts Centre with another explosive masterpiece. Starring Catherine Walker as Miss Julie and Declan Conlon as Jean, with Mary Murray as Kristin, the play is directed by Michael Barker-Caven and designed by Joe Vanek, with lighting by Sinéad Wallace. Written over a century ago, and brought vividly to life in Frank McGuinness’ thrilling version, Strindberg’s portrayal of power, class struggle and the strength of sexual desire is one of the great classics of world theatre.   “an amazing play that still terrifies with its insoluble equation of sex, class and death” The New York Times on Miss Julie
