RELATIVELY SPEAKING GALLERY TOUR November 2014

Admission is free but ticketed and places are limited. To book your free place, please email Emer at gallery@projectartscentre.ie.
Would you like an opportunity to introduce your friends and family to contemporary art?
Three of Dublin’s most well-known city centre contemporary art galleries, Project Arts Centre, Temple Bar Gallery + Studios and The Douglas Hyde Gallery are joining forces to offer a guided walking tour that takes place across these venues. The tours introduce their current exhibitions to those who might not be so familiar with contemporary art and offer an interesting insight into the work for those who are. The whole tour will take about 60 minutes approximately, with 15 – 20 minute tours taking place in each gallery.
Starting at Project Arts Centre, visitors will be treated to a guided tour by Assistant Curator Emer Lynch of Clerk of Mind, a solo exhibition by Chris Evans. Emer will then walk the visitors to the next venue, Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, where Assistant Curator Sophie Behal will give an introduction to the exhibition Studies on Shivering by Damir Očko. Finally, visitors will be led to The Douglas Hyde Gallery, where Gallery Assistant Rachel McIntyre will give a short tour of Peter Gallo‘s solo exhibition in Gallery 1 as well as Lois Weinberger’s solo exhibition Invasion in Gallery 2.
We’ll meet on Wednesday 26 November at 1.00pm at Project Arts Centre. Book a spot for your parents, friends, cousins, housemates and anyone who you think might like to learn more about the things you love!
