The winner of the 1996 UK National Poetry Award, Kerry Hardie has published three collections of poetry with the Gallery Press, A Furious Place (1996), Cry for the Hot Belly (2000) and The Sky Didn’t Fall (2003). Her first novel, Hannie Bennet’s Winter Marriage appeared in 2000 while another, The Bird Woman, is forthcoming. She was born in 1951 and grew up in County Down. She now lives in County Kilkenny with her husband, the writer Seán Hardie.

Amir Or is among the best-known Israeli poets of his generation with seven collections of poetry to his credit as well as numerous works in translation, including Limb-Loosening Desire: An Anthology of Erotic Greek Poetry (1993) and Stories From the Mahabharata (1998). The recipient of numerous awards, including the Honorary Prize of the Israeli Minister of Culture, he visits Dublin for the launch of Day, a new collection in English from the Dedalus Press.

Justin Quinn has published three collections of poems, The ‘O’o’a’a’ Bird (shortlisted for the Forward Prize, 1995), Privacy (1999) and Fuselage (2002). Also in 2002, UCD Press published his Gathered Beneath The Storm: Wallace Stevens, Nature and Community. He is a founder editor of Metre, lecturer at the Charles University, Prague, and a translator of Czech poetry. He was born in Dublin in 1968.
