A two-day Bloomsday Festival in Szombathely, Hungary, will include the unveiling of a major artwork by Irish artist, Garreth Joyce.
Garreth’s work is inspired by Episode 5 of Ulysses, “The Lotus Eaters” and references the people and places Leopold Bloom encounters in the chapter.
This is the third year of the Szombathely Bloomsday Festival Mural Art project and the second year to involve the participation of an Irish artist.
This project is a collaboration between the Department of Foreign Affairs, Project Arts Centre Dublin, and the city of Szombathely.
