Open Call for Creatives to Deliver Neuro-Friendly Club Nights in Dublin
Calling DJs, dance facilitators and designers – are you interested in creating a collective to deliver neuro-friendly club nights in Dublin?
NeuroNights is a capacity building programme for neurodivergent artists who are interested in creating neuro-friendly club spaces.
Participants will take part in a series of workshops led by experienced facilitators and will go on to deliver 3 club nights at Project Arts Centre in 2026. The training and mentorship programme will run over 3 days between 5th March and 9th May 2026, with club nights on 21st May, 2nd OR 9th July (exact date tbc) and 5th November. Workshops will take place in person in Dublin city centre.
This is a paid opportunity for programme participants. A fee of €1500 is available to each participant. Fees are inclusive of travel costs and all other expenses.
The NeuroNights initiative aims to:
- Create safe and welcoming, artist-led club spaces
- Develop regular neuro-friendly club nights in Dublin
- Create a collective of artists who are experienced in producing inclusive club nights
What is involved
Neurodivergent Artists, Producers and Facilitators will take part in a workshop programme to develop capacity in designing events which are inclusive and neuro-friendly. They will select whether they want to specialise in:
- DJ-ing
- Designing for live events
- Dance facilitation / event hosting
Training / mentoring will be provided to the selected team.
Through the workshops, the participants will co-design a series of 3 club nights.
All participants will be paid for their time. A fee of €1500 is available to each participant. Fees are inclusive of travel costs and all other expenses.
Workshops will take place in Dublin city centre at DanceHouse, Project Arts Centre and the Samuel Beckett Theatre.
It is expected that the participants will work together as a team to deliver the three club nights, with some planning sessions leading up to each night. Project Arts Centre and Dublin Dance Festival will also support the team with delivery of the club nights in a number of different ways.
We hope that this initiative will result in participants continuing to work as a team to collaborate with other organisations and venues to deliver regular neuro-friendly club nights nationally.
