Reception Weekend 2026
15 – 17 October 2026
Over the past decade, Reception has sought out innovative music and sound pieces that evade easy categorisation, often blurring the lines between composition and improvisation, performance and installation. It has presented musicians and artists from across a broad spectrum of backgrounds such as club music, jazz, folk, new music, visual art and beyond.Reception Weekend 2026 acts as a celebration and survey of boundary-pushing musical activity across the country.
This year’s programme includes three of Ireland’s most adventurous and forward-thinking record labels: Nyahh, Krimkram, and Fort Evil Fruit, each presenting a specially curated event alongside two concerts programmed by Reception.
Reception Weekend 2026 is their most ambitious and wide-ranging programme to date, bringing together composers and performers from across the globe.
Over the course of the weekend Reception present 5 concerts featuring Ultan O’Brien, Roslyn Steer & Anna Clock alongside the Irish debuts of renowned international musicians such as Rafael Toral, Daniel Lowenbruck, Bitchin Bajas, Beam Splitter, Dinosaurs with Horns, Seymour Glass and Teresa Riemann.
Natalia Beylis and Joanna Mattrey will perform together as a duo for the first time whilst Scottish synthesist Adam Campbell and Irish guitarist Aonghus McEvoy will launch their new album, Dazzle Incoherence.
