LANES is a new film by Louise Bruton about the communities found in popular swimming spots. Capturing Bruton’s disabled body with the backdrop of swimming regulars, LANES will capture how the water is for everyone, we just have to get in.
Before she edits the film, Bruton invites people who have complicated relationships with their bodies in bodies of water to watch raw footage of the film at intimate screenings. The feedback shared will shape the narrative of the film.
