Open Call for Dance Residency with Artists Jessie Thompson and Chris Fargeot

Jessie Thompson is a Project Artist who was recently awarded a Dance Artist in Residence (DAIR) 2025/26 award through the Arts Council Ireland.
The DAIR award is resourcing Jessie to deliver meaningful and impactful work with professional and pre-professional dance artists, as well as community and youth groups and collaborators across Dublin city and surrounding areas. The work will have a focus on strengthening a network of women exploring empowerment and autonomy through dance.

As part of this work, Jessie will be holding a week-long dance development residency at Project Arts Centre for pre-and-professional dance artists and students. This work is in collaboration with French dancer & choreographer Chris Fargeot.

Residency runs Mon 9th March – Sat 14th March.
Times 10:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday and Saturday 10:00 -22:00, with lunch provided daily.

Please Note This is a dance development and performance opportunity. This is not a paid position.

The residency will culminate in a live performance on 14 March, 2026. The live performance will be a ticketed day-long public event, consisting of a screening of Jessie’s new docu-film, the presentation of the live work that will be developed during the residency, a live exhibition dance battle followed by a live discussion panel.
