Project Arts Centre, Ireland’s leading centre for contemporary arts is searching for new Directors to join our Board.
We are looking for people who are committed to a belief in the power of arts and culture to change the world. People who have the capacity to support our brilliant team to deliver a dynamic programme of events across art forms, in the heart of Dublin and in venues across Ireland and the world. In 2022, Project Arts Centre launched a new strategic plan, WORK 2022-2026, following the 2021 publication of our policy Towards Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, which is woven through all our work.
Project would welcome applications from people with the following skills and/or working in the following areas:
· A Dance artist
· Legal - Corporate governance, commercial law or entertainment law experience preferred but not required
· HR
We would particularly welcome applications from people who can contribute to our work in income development, fundraising and philanthropy but this is not an essential requirement.
Board Members will serve a 3-year term, renewable to a maximum of 8 years. Project Arts Centre is a registered charity, and this is a voluntary, unpaid position.
The Board of Directors meets six times per year plus the AGM. There are sub-committees and occasional meetings with the Company’s Membership. Board members are expected to contribute to the ongoing development of the organisation and attend additional events where possible. HOW TO APPLY:
To apply we ask applicants to submit a comprehensive CV or biography (a statement outlining your roles, responsibilities and achievements in the organisations in which you currently and previously worked). Please include details of any service as a Board Director, Trustee or any other voluntary/community work, but please note that no previous experience as a Board Director or Trustee is required.
