The One of Many Workshop with Gráinnemir & Sorcha Fox
30 January 2026
About Gráinnemir
Gráinnemir is a Dublin-based Palestinian theatre artist who completed a four-year programme at The Freedom Theatre in the Jenin refugee camp, Palestine. During their early years at the Freedom Theatre, they joined both the 2nd and 3rd generations of the school, concentrating on theatre studies and cultural resistance. Their artistic practice encompasses acting, writing, and facilitation. Through physical theatre and storytelling, Gráinnemir explores Palestinian identity from a queer lens, creating intimate and expressive work rooted in resilience. Their performances intricately weave movement, voice, and narrative to foster connection, memory, and resistance. Since relocating to Ireland, Gráinnemir has further developed their practice by collaborating with Sorcha Fox, whom they met at The Freedom Theatre.
About Sorcha Fox
Sorcha is North Leitrim based, where she has dedicated 30 years to theatre as an actor, writer, director, and facilitator. She was the former co-director of Benbo Productions alongside Donal O’Kelly and directed “The Bed” for the Cairde Arts Festival in 2020. She also directed the Road with Grainnemir in 2022, during Time at the Well residency. Additionally, she co-founded The One of Many project with Grainnemir. Together, Gráinnemir and Sorcha focus on cultural resistance, using performance as a tool to confront and challenge oppression in all its forms. They serve as co-facilitators for Cairde Amharclann na Saoirse in Éirinn, dedicated to honouring Palestinian voices and artists. Their mission is to create a home from home for Palestinian artists, both in Palestine and in exile. It’s a commitment Sorcha and Grainnemir have taken since they met in Palestine for the freedom of both nations.
