Jessie Thompson, Dance Artist in Residence at Project Arts Centre, presents a bold, curated programme celebrating women in dance culture across different styles and generations.

The evening will feature 45 dancers, kicking off with a screening of a documentary film created with filmmaker Luca Truffarelli, students from Stanhope Street Secondary School and dance schools in NEIC and surrounding areas. This will be followed by a live dance presentation from performers who participated in a residency week at Project Arts Centre, choreographed by Jessie with guest artist Chris Fargeot.
Our live DJ will then spin the decks while some of the leading Irish and international female hip-hop dancers face off in an Exhibition Battle. Once the winner is crowned we’ll move into a curated discussion panel and the night will then continue in the bar with a live DJ to keep the celebration going.
This event is open to all ages, under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.
