27 - 28 May 2017

A Mischievous Show About the Theatrical Art of Undressing by Spanish Dance Artist Pere Faura that Asks: What Makes a Good Striptease? Proximity or Inaccessibility, Reality or Fantasy?

Get 15% off full price tickets when you book 2 or more shows at the same time!
Tongue firmly in cheek, Spanish choreographer Pere Faura gets intimate with his audience in this mischievous show about the theatrical art of undressing.
What do you think you’ll see at a show called Striptease? Part performance, part lecture, Faura plays with our expectations and perceptions in this witty and provocative exposé of the mechanisms of desire and seduction. Cleverly mixing dance, theatre and video elements he delves into the relationship between the performer and the spectator, with the help of a star turn by Demi Moore.
What makes a good striptease? Proximity or inaccessibility, reality or fantasy? Well, that all depends on what you are looking for.
“Although we don’t budge from our seats, we come out of Striptease feeling totally undressed and exposed… Such is the wit and winsomeness … we end up loudly applauding his assault on our reserve." Springback
