Biography
Born Mukudzei Kandoro Majoni in September of 1992, no one could have foreseen him growing into a man that would make the world laugh. As a matter of fact, everything in his life was pointed towards an entirely different direction.
First born son to two hard working civil servants, the idea of ‘education being the key to success’ was drummed into Mukudzei from an early age. And that plan seemed to be bearing fruit until the creative bug which he had been flirting with all his life finally bit and stuck while he was doing his 3rd year at Rhodes University. And that, as the young people say, was it.
In August of 2015, King Kandoro was born. He would go on to be the first comedian to headline and sell out Reps Theatre in 2019, a feat that he bested in 2021 when he sold out 7 Arts Theatre with his Prodigal Son Tour.
In December 2022, he attempted his most daring feat, becoming the first Zimbabwean comedian to sell out the 3500 seater Celebration Center.
Now in 2024, he is shattering every single record he previously set for himself with his Propaganda Tour which has taken him to South Africa, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Poland, Berling, Netherlands, Scotland, North America and now Ireland.
