Poetry S.O.S is inspired by Vital Signs which was published by Poetry Ireland in 2022. It is an anthology of powerful and courageous responses to the human experience of illness and healing. As part of Bealtaine 2025, as we reset for summer, you are invited to join us for a Poetry S.O.S. Hosted by poet and poetry pharmacist, Anne Tannam will select and prescribe a poem for you, designed to make you feel better, which you can bring home and read at your leisure. Each session is ten minutes long and pre-booking is essential.
Ireland’s national celebration of the arts and creativity as we age, marks three decades of vibrant, fun, and contemporary festivities in 2025. This milestone edition will unfold across Ireland throughout the month of May, offering an expansive lineup of performances and activities that champion generational interdependence and diversity. From beautiful poetry to comedy showcases and immersive storytelling experiences, attendees can expect a diverse array of events that embrace the Bealtaine Festival theme, “Lust for Life”, inspired by the Iggy Pop classic hit.
The instructions to those booking into the Poetry SOS:
