David Ireland, a new voice in Irish drama, makes his Dublin debut with this award-winning, exhilarating black comedy about two sisters reunited.
What would you do if your long-lost sister reappeared on the first day of your new job? It’s day one of Northern Ireland’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Sandra is preparing to take her seat on the committee when her estranged sister Teeni bursts into the room. Is this a terrorist attack or just Teeni’s way of announcing her return? Horrified, Sandra drags her into a disused room. With the press and the police waiting to invade, the two sisters must quickly find a way to unlock their shared past.
“Your family is everything. You know that as well as I do. Without your family you’re nothing.
We haven’t been a family for a long time.
And look at us. Look at us."
