Creative Caption Design with Daniel Hughes and Ciaran Stewart
19 Feb

The event will draw on a selection of case studies from Daniel’s work, including recent projects with Onyeka Igwe, Rosa-Johan Uddoh, Ed Webb-Ingall and Sarah Browne. The two will share their experience of working together and discuss what different processes might look like in relation to different artists’ practices and aesthetic needs. Through these selected examples, they’ll consider methods and models of working with deaf creatives to consult on access, but also to collaborate creatively in figuring out how captions can make you “feel” something rather than just describe something to you.
This event will take place on Zoom and will be live-captioned.
