Chisato Minamimura will be leading a residency project at Project Arts Centre in late July and early August. During the residency, Chisato will collaborate with Deaf artist Lianne Quigley, sound artist Brigid Cryan and video artist Neil O’Driscoll to develop a new Deafscape of Dublin focusing on different areas of Dublin.
Together, they will explore how sound can be translated into visual, sensory and embodied experiences, drawing on Deaf perspectives to reimagine how we perceive and connect with place.
The residency will culminate in a public sharing event on Thursday 6th of August from 3pm–5pm.
The public sharing offers audiences an opportunity to experience the outcomes of the residency, learn more about the collaborative process behind the Deafscape of Dublin and Chisato and her practice.
ISL will be provided.
