Bealtaine Festival: Exhibition Tour of Roee Rosen’s ‘Exorcisms’

The internationally-acclaimed and widely exhibiting Rosen has since the 1990s been addressing via numerous personae, hybridised narratives and paradoxical stories the instrumentalization and ritualization of history and of historical trauma, the complex relationship of collective and personal histories and the politics of identity.

Dr. Sarah Durcan is a lecturer and programme leader of the MFA Fine Art at the National College of Art & Design, Dublin. Her current research project addresses the preoccupation with memory in contemporary artists’ moving image installations. She recently curated ‘The Memory-Image’ screening event at the Irish Film Institute in collaboration with aemi.
