Join us for a special night of live music as three Hong Kong-Irish artists share the stage together for the first time. With solo sets from Chris Wong, Khidyie and Touzai, expect a distinct mix of voices and genres. Chris Wong is an R&B/soul artist known for his keen observations and catchy melodies. Khidyie creates dreamy, poetic folk music that captures the magic of everyday moments. Touzai blends 90s alt-rock and shoegaze with raw emotion. Hosted by Choy-Ping Ní Chléirigh-Ng 吳彩萍 this event will be a joyful gathering of community and creativity where everyone is welcome. There’ll even be some complimentary Hong Kong treats afterwards to end the night on an extra sweet note!

Chris Wong
Hailing from Dublin, Ireland and now thriving in Berlin, Chris Wong is a R&B/Soul influenced singer/songwriter on a promising trajectory. The Irish/Hong Kongese artist’s observant eye, coupled with a love for writing catchy melodies, laid solid foundations for Chris’ early musical life. Being raised as a mixed race kid, in a society that didn’t wholly accept this, challenged Chris. He struggled to feel normal and thought deeply about this. Little did he know that asking himself such intense questions at such a young age would shape his approach to songwriting and life. Wong’s self-released debut single “Talents” came in late 2022. Since then, five more singles have followed suit. Chris has captivated audiences across Ireland, the U.K and the U.S, even sharing stages with breakout stars such as Olivia Dean. September 2025 will see the release of Wong’s Debut EP “For Me, I Try.” Excitingly, Wong will follow up his Debut EP release with shows across Europe and the US. Stay tuned and watch this space.

 

Khidyie
Songwriter Khidyie is an Irish-Hong Kong musician currently based in Drogheda, whose music explores the delicate balance between reality and fantasy. Her sound is a dreamy blend of folk and ethereal elements, inspired by the way the mind can transform the ordinary into something beautiful and romantic. With a fascination for how everyday moments can be warped into poetic escapism, Khidyie creates music that feels both grounded and otherworldly, using her writing as an avenue to express ideas and feelings that aren’t always easily expressed in casual conversation. Through her melodies, she illustrates the longing experienced by dreamers, hopeless romantics, and hearts that yearn for something more.

Touzai Touzai (兔仔)
Touzai Touzai (兔仔) is an Asian-Irish artist blending 90s alt-rock, shoegaze, and heartfelt lyricism into a sound both nostalgic and forward-thinking. Touzai’s music explores themes of identity and belonging, drawing inspiration from his Hong Kong heritage and Irish upbringing. The artist has been busy playing shows and festivals around Ireland, including support slots with rising bands Sløtface and Honeyglaze. Be sure to listen to Touzai’s latest release, Tiger Song, a song inspired by Asian folklore and the experience of growing up in Ireland.
