Verdant Productions present

25 - 26 July 2019

Janet Moran presents 'A Holy Show'
A new comedy based on the 1981 hijacking of an Aer Lingus plane by an ex-Trappist monk with a bottle of water as his weapon, the Pope as his nemesis and a burning desire to know The Third Secret of Fatima.

When Airplane meets Father Ted.
A new comedy based on the 1981 hijacking of an Aer Lingus plane by an ex-Trappist monk with a bottle of water as his weapon, the Pope as his nemesis and a burning desire to know The Third Secret of Fatima.
Step on the plane with us and experience this most Irish of hijackings. There’ll be music, nostalgia, heroism, praying, visions, romance (maybe) sex (maybe) a special appearance by Our Lady (definitely). There’ll even be a miracle. I swear.

Be an early bird, don’t pay €2 more on the door!
We’re committed to keeping our prices affordable. Our tickets are at their most expensive from 6pm on the day of the show, so you can get the best possible value by booking in advance!

[stars-4] “Airplane meets Hall’s Pictorial Weekly… Have you cracking a rib with laughter. Only in Ireland could you get a hijacking this ridiculous. Or this hilarious. Or this much fun.” The Arts Review  [break]
“Ennis and Moy are a dream team… They physically inhabit each new character at breakneck speed making each one completely believable and unique… The audience last night was completely enchanted by the play. Not to be missed.” No More Workhorse [break]
“Lovingly made, giddily nostalgic comedy… An enviable team of collaborators seizes every opportunity for embellishment, from earthy comic turns to absurd religious visitations to slick stage effects.” The Irish Times [break]
