Award-winning comedian Sean Hughes returns to Dublin to record his exclusive show, specially adapted for Ireland’s first ever Radio Comedy Festival, Comedy Showhouse.
The youngest ever Perrier Award winner, Sean Hughes takes us on a journey from his birth in London, childhood in Dublin, emigration to London, his relationship with Ireland, family and fame, and turning 50.
Hughes was voted by his peers as one of the top 40 comedians of all time and has starred in the Channel 4 comedy series Sean’s Show.

The first of its kind, Comedy Showhouse is a new festival of Irish comedy, featuring Sean Hughes; Deirdre O’Kane; Andrew Maxwell; Al Porter; Colm O’Regan; Fred Cooke; Amy Huberman; John Colleary; Foil, Arms & Hog; and many more.
Join us in the Space Upstairs for 8 days of live comedy recordings, which will be broadcast on RTÉ Radio 1 across 2016.
Each evening’s performance will be recorded as live and broadcast later as two separate half hour radio shows.
Meanwhile, downstairs in the Cube, meet the new stars of digital comedy or take part in workshops and live podcasts.
