Cranky Bernarda’s husband is dead. She didn’t like him anyway. Poncia, servant to Bernarda, knows how to manage her irascible boss: nod, tell her what she wants to hear, don’t argue out loud.
Bernarda’s House is a funny, irreverent and poetic reteling of Lorca’s The House of Bernarda Alba. Performed in red nose, it promises to delight and surprise, and invites you to fall silent in moments of shared beauty.

Writer/Director: Veronia Coburn
Cast: Clare Barrett, Amy Conroy

Developed at FRINGE LAB with the support of Tiger Dublin Fringe.
Supported by Draíocht Arts Centre.

Although performed in red nose, Bernarda’s House is not a children’s show.
Running time: 75 mins approx.
