New Project Potential Coordinator Appointed: Cathy Coughlan

Project Arts Centre is delighted to announce the appointment of a new Project Potential Coordinator – Cathy Coughlan.

Project Potential is the new home for Access & Engagement work at Project, where we’re committed to making the necessary time and space to create inclusivity through action. Find out more about this exciting work here, as well as our current Project Potential projects here. We’re thrilled to welcome Cathy to the Project family!

Cathy Coughlan is a multidisciplinary artist working across visual arts, film and dance-theatre contexts to create hybrid works for gallery and theatre spaces, as well as devising site-specific and community-responsive projects. She has received Arts Council funding on numerous occasions to support regional residency programmes, festival production, research and performance-based projects.

As an artist working in a collaboration with communities for over 15 years, she has designed and delivered projects in association with Kildare County Council, First Fortnight Festival – Europe, Visual Gallery Carlow, NCAH, Tipperary Dance Platform, Dublin Fringe Festival, Tallaght Community Arts, RADE, Common Ground, Create, Focus Ireland, the Fatima Regeneration Project, Bealtaine Festival, Dunamaise Arts Centre, Dublin City Council, South Dublin County Council, Dance Ireland and Coisceim Dance Theatre – Broadreach.

Cathy trained as a professional dancer in the UK (1994-97) and continued her arts training with The National College of Art and Design (Fine Art 2005). Cathy is delighted to join the team as Project Potential Coordinator!
