THIS IS OUR YOUTH

Tickets: 20

Dennis – the son of a famous painter and a social activist mother

– is a small-time drug dealer and a total mess. His heroworshipping, indifferently adjusted friend Warren has stolen $15,000 from his father, an abusive lingerie tycoon with criminal connections. Jessica, is a mixed up prep school girl who shows up for a date with Warren only to be whisked away on a night of New York seduction, paid for with his ill-gotten gains.

Could this night of seduction be a pivotal turning point in Warren’s life? Will he discover a way out or follow Dennis into dissipation?

Two days in the lives of three wealthy college-age Upper West Siders living in doped-up squalor. This Is Our Youth is a cutting look at the affluent young Manhattanites of the 1980s.

“Very funny…comedies of such brio and darkly satiric edge are rare these days.”
