THEATRECLUB STOLE YOUR CLOCK RADIO WHAT THE FUCK YOU GONNA DO ABOUT IT?

This is not our first time.

But it’s definitely our last chance.

Last year, just as we got to an age where we could start making something of ourselves, the whole country crashed down around us. At the apex of the countries economic collapse, we made a show.

THEATREclub stole your CLOCK RADIO what the FUCK you gonna do about it? is a glance at how it feels to be young inside a nation in a state of collapse; looking out to a future you know nothing about.

We sold out the Cube, were featured on national television and we also broke an awful lot of records (and smashed tomatoes).

Now we want to do it one last time. On a much bigger stage.

THIS IS THE LAST CHANCE

THIS IS THE VERY LAST TIME.

We will never do this show again. This is your last chance to be one the select few who will get to see it- ever.

For one night only. We’re sending it off. Packing it away. We’re giving it the epic going away party it deserves.

At some stage during the performance – maybe between the Stone Roses and ripping apart of phonebooks – I remember staring directly at the stage and thinking “fuck, that’s exactly it”. iamsteph, culture blogger

“Few moments this year have been more enthralling than Brian Bennett’s verbatim recital of Pat Kenny’s Frontline heckler, the rant delivered more serenely than a church sermon, and its juxtaposition against artful dance routines, fractured narratives and Breakfast Club lip-syncing pointed at their bizarre inheritance from an angry, waning, confused country.”

Celebrating 20 Years in the Big Blue Building

Exactly 20 years ago the new purpose-built premises of Project Arts Centre reopened amidst huge expectations and speculations on its capacities to live up to its artist-led ethos and continue its creative path dedicated to experimentation and radical practices. There were sceptics and critical voices addressing both the context of the development of the Temple Bar Cultural Quarter and spectacle-oriented, consumer-driven cultural production which some feared Project’s subversive spirit might fall prey to after its refurbishment. An anniversary at most times is an important opportunity to reflect, especially during such transformative moments as those we are living through right now.…

LOCKDOWN LETTERS

Hi there,  How are you doing today? We hope you and your family are staying safe and sane during these strange days. We've been thinking about how we stay connected. It's not easy. Some of us have to stay indoors all the time. Others mostly all of the time. We've had letters and postcards through our letterboxes that made us smile. We've got emotional sending messages of support and solidarity to others. Some of us have wifi, Social Media and laptops. Some of us don't. So, we're starting LOCKDOWN LETTERS. To try to stay connected to as many of our…
