THE LAMENT FOR ARTHUR CLEARY (REVOLUTIONARY TEXTS)
Revolutionary Texts a series of reading which aim to draw attention to plays from the late 1980s and 1990s, that are political in content and experimental in form which might be unfamiliar to our younger audience members.  Four such plays will be given public readings and directed by some of Ireland’s best emerging talent.
The Lament For Authur Cleary is an examination of Ireland in the 1980s – its moneylenders, its unemployment, its exhausting and debilitating emigration.
Duration 120 mins
This event is free but ticketed. Tickets will be issued on a first come first served basis on the day of the event.
The Lament for Arthur Cleary and Down Onto Blue are part of Annabelle Comyn’s programme as Theatre Artist in Residence, supported by the Arts Council in association with Dublin City Council and Project Arts Centre.
