THE CHURCHING OF HAPPY CULLEN

Tickets: 14/12/10
Show Time: 1.00pm

It’s 1913 and as Caruso sings through the Dublin tenements, tragedy strikes and Happy Cullen is left waiting. Struggling to make life as normal as possible in a poverty stricken household, Happy must face the ghosts of her past and present in order to embrace her future. This dynamic piece of physical theatre invites us to step into our collective pasts to experience the difficulties Happy and many Irish women faced from the Church, society and even their own families.

Initially presented as a work in progress as part of THE THEATRE MACHINE TURNS YOU ON: VOL 3.
