THE BLUE BOY
Following its success at Dublin Theatre Festival in 2011, The Blue Boy returns to Dublin. Urgent and vital, it deals with the experiences of men and women who were incarcerated as children in Catholic residential care institutions. The Blue Boy combines startling choreography with live music, recorded interviews, multi-media, and film to reveal stories of childhood abuse in Ireland. This compelling work evokes hidden violence and gives intense physical expression to the anguish experienced by those who were silenced – it is essential watching for our times.
Contains material that some may find disturbing.
