How do you fit in? Where do you belong? Which team do you bat for? Where do you come from? An bhfuil Gaeilge agat? Are you one of us?
Corp Feasa Dance Company brings together a group of international performers to tell stories of outsiders: immigrant, Irish speaker, gay boy, gypsy… Tearmann shifts the boundaries between inside and out, between belonging and dancing apart to discover that we all seek asylum, a sanctuary, a home.
With its sophisticated blend of eloquent movement and athletic text, the company offers beautiful and moving dance that challenges our perceptions, that embodies the unfamiliar and voices the neglected.
Brought up in the Ring Gaeltacht and educated in Oxford, Fearghus Ó Conchúir has performed internationally as a contemporary dancer and choreographed both in Ireland and England. Building on the success of his acclaimed Vespers (Project, 2001), Ó Conchúir presents this compelling and intelligent study of exclusion and integration. He dances in this piece alongside three highly accomplished performers.
