Shaping Time offers all those interested in shaping live performance the chance to consider and discuss how structural ideas from playwriting could be used in developing new work for dance.
Playwright and dramaturg, Gavin Kostick, will discuss four specific examples from drama to investigate ways in which playwrights attempt to shape time for an audience.
A combination of practical examples and improvisations with dancer Emma Fitzgerald will illustrate these ideas, and explore how they may be valuable for dancers and choreographers.
This informal evening will allow time for discussion.
