REHEARSED READINGS

Tickets: 5

A series of rehearsed readings curated by ABSOLUT FRINGE and Thomas Conway, Druid’s literary manager with short feedback sessions after each one. 3 new plays, 3 emerging writers, 3 young companies, 3 sizzling encounters, 3 chances to have your say. 1 high-voltage day in Project Arts Centre.

Child Light (11am): The spotlight is about to fall on Sarah: opening her solo exhibition, her fourth kid on the way, her husband waiting in the wings, it’s nigh time she met her audience. And yet the one person who can make it mean anything hasn’t turned up. Childlight is presented by Abri Creative.

Elevator (1.30pm): To boldly go where none have gone before for your first sexual encounter and for it to go very very very wrong. Elevator by Gabrielle Pintilei and translated Christina Catalina, lives out the reality of entrapment with chilling exactitude. Directed by Rachel Parish

Souvenir Tears (3pm): Two women relive their time seriously out on a limb; the one footloose in the ’Dam (read Amsterdam), the other yielding stilettos in a Dublin office war. If ever sex were a sword on which the brave fall! Presented by Go Lightly Theatre Company, directed by Shane Carr.

For just €5 you will have access to all three readings.
