PALIMPSEST
What happens when you take traditional Irish music and add some of Ireland’s most exciting contemporary musicians and their usual instruments?
Five musicians will take up residence in the Cube for one week of musical experimentation culminating in a night of performance.
Palimpsest will bring together an unusual group of performers all hailing from very different backgrounds but with a shared interest in exploring the new possibilities inherent in traditional Irish tunes. Over the course of the week they will shed a contemporary light on our musical heritage with their unique approach and combined styles of playing.
Made possible with funding from the Arts Council Project Awards
