Project Arts Centre presents

Dates: 18 Dec - 31 Jan

Project Arts Centre announces an Open Call for 2016: Reboot.

When Project was founded in 1966, it was the creation of something new, an alternative to the establishment. 50 years later, we are presenting this open call as a way to reload, refresh, and reboot: what is being made under the name of art today?

We invite submissions from any artist until 31 January 2016. Please include:

  • Proposal
Images that describe the artwork or exhibition (at least 6 images, including titles)
Text that describes the artwork or exhibition (250 words)
Description of form or material realisation as an exhibition (250 words max)
  • Practice
    Artist’s CV
Portfolio – images and text – consisting of maximum 3 previous artworks
    Full contact details

Please send us your ideas. We’ve made this open call as open as possible, as we want to be surprised, inspired, even blind-sided!

An exhibition will be selected from this process for Summer 2016, and we look forward to reading through every single submission in the new year!

Open Call: Future Forecast Curator

Project Arts Centre is powered by creative ideas, critical thinking and debate. Artists and audiences are often first to forecast the future – for good and for ill. As we look to our future in an uncertain world, which is leaning towards populism, tokenism, and right wing conservative politics, we want to engage in a conversation about contemporary Ireland and the arts. We want to peel back the skin to see how artists are faring and examine the ways in which our arts community can reflect, mediate, challenge and shape our collective fate. Where does our future lie? As part…
