TRASH by Lynnette Moran

A digital theatre and sound performance

TRASH is akin to Vito Acconci, Bruce Nauman, Tim Etchells, Marina Abramovic, Laurie Anderson, Ron Athey, Joseph Beuys, Gilbert and George, Leigh Bowery, La Ribot, Karen Finley and Allan Kaprow all checking into The Chelsea Hotel for one night only.

Various versions of TRASH have been performed as part of Transversal at Dublin Dance Festival; THEATRE MACHINE TURNS YOU ON:Vol II, Project Brand New 2.0 at Solas Nua in Washington DC and at the HERE Arts Centre, New York City.

7 Day Drunk by Bryony Kimmings

A live art performance

Bryony Kimmings is NOT an alcoholic. But she has always had a rocky relationship with booze. It seems the dark stuff is intrinsically linked to her confidence as an artist as well as to blame for her most genius and most hideous creations.

From Jackson Pollock to Amy Winehouse, from Oscar Wilde to Charlie Sheen, everyone’s on something but why?! From the Total Theatre award-winning creator of Sex Idiot comes a hilarious and moving one-woman show investigating the historical links between artists and mind enhancing drugs.

2 parts song and dance routine, 1 part breakdown with a twist of sobering reality for good measure, the show follows Bryony as she cracks open her own creative psyche with the help of a film-maker, a team of scientists, carers and an American IT expert. Created solely from material made during a seven-day experiment, in which Bryony was kept in various states of scientific drunkenness. Performed sober.

A Soho Theatre and Junction co-commission. Supported by Escalator East to Edinburgh and Arts Council England. 7 Day Drunk experiment supported by the Jerwood Charitable Foundation. Subsidised rehearsal space provided by Jerwood Space.

“A bold, brassy yet sobering show with lots of bottle” The Guardian

“Warm funny and visually stunning” Time Out

“An unabashedly wacky sweetheart with a delightful anything goes air” The Times

Celebrating 20 Years in the Big Blue Building

Exactly 20 years ago the new purpose-built premises of Project Arts Centre reopened amidst huge expectations and speculations on its capacities to live up to its artist-led ethos and continue its creative path dedicated to experimentation and radical practices. There were sceptics and critical voices addressing both the context of the development of the Temple Bar Cultural Quarter and spectacle-oriented, consumer-driven cultural production which some feared Project’s subversive spirit might fall prey to after its refurbishment. An anniversary at most times is an important opportunity to reflect, especially during such transformative moments as those we are living through right now.…

Hi there,  How are you doing today? We hope you and your family are staying safe and sane during these strange days. We've been thinking about how we stay connected. It's not easy. Some of us have to stay indoors all the time. Others mostly all of the time. We've had letters and postcards through our letterboxes that made us smile. We've got emotional sending messages of support and solidarity to others. Some of us have wifi, Social Media and laptops. Some of us don't. So, we're starting LOCKDOWN LETTERS. To try to stay connected to as many of our…
