Ireland’s Housing Crisis – Public Housing the Solution

Presented in partnership with the James Connolly Festival 2022 as part of Clear Away the Rubble / Glan an Spallaí ar Shiúl, an open research project about housing.

As the housing crisis rages on across Ireland, the lack of discussion around public housing remains conspicuous by its absence. Chaired by a representative from Community Action Tenants Union, we invite speakers from political parties and academia to discuss public housing as the solution to a problem appearing to have no end in sight under the current political strictures.
