As part of First Thursdays join us on 1 August between 6pm-8pm for a tour of our new exhibition Until it Makes Sense. These walk ‘n’ talks will be hosted by two young artists so come along for chats and insights – questions, questions at the ready…

Until It Makes Sense is an extraordinary encounter with the work of Mario García Torres. This new exhibition for Project Arts Centre will present an expansive range of artworks by Garcia Torres, evolving and developing through the course of the exhibition to create four individually distinct episodes. The work exhibited will include moving image, interactive installation, photography and sculpture.

Celebrating 20 Years in the Big Blue Building

Exactly 20 years ago the new purpose-built premises of Project Arts Centre reopened amidst huge expectations and speculations on its capacities to live up to its artist-led ethos and continue its creative path dedicated to experimentation and radical practices. There were sceptics and critical voices addressing both the context of the development of the Temple Bar Cultural Quarter and spectacle-oriented, consumer-driven cultural production which some feared Project’s subversive spirit might fall prey to after its refurbishment.
