Tickets: 5

Barry McGovern performs Samuel Beckett’s Echo’s Bones and From An Abandoned Work.
Barry McGovern is regarded by many as one of the foremost interpreters of Samuel Beckett’s work. He has played Lucky, Estragon and Vladimir in Waiting for Godot, Clov in Endgame, Willie in Happy Days, and Krapp in Krapp’s Last Tape. He was a major player in the Dublin Gate Theatre’s Beckett festivals in Dublin, New York and London. He played Vladimir in the ‘Beckett on Film’ version of Waiting for Godot and also on stage recently in London and at The Gate. On radio he has directed All That Fall and played Henry in Embers and Fox in Rough for Radio 2.
His award-winning one-man Beckett show, I’ll Go On, produced by the Gate Theatre, has played worldwide. Recent theatre work includes Baptista Minola in The Taming of the Shrew with Rough Magic at this theatre. An avid Joycean, earlier today he read the complete ‘Oxen of the Sun’ episode from Ulysses at the tower in Sandycove. His CD box set of the complete Molloy, Malone Dies and the Unnamable by Beckett is now available.
