Beat Box Bingo is a show about learning to play well with others.

With Beat Box Bingo, choreographer Rebecca Walter has created an energetic exploration of space and rhythm, pitting musicians against dancers, sound against movement. Dancers, composers and choreographer have teamed up to challenge and transcend the concept of dance set to music (or, conversely, music set to dance), creating a heated performance debate where the rules of engagement are constantly changing.

Beat Box Bingo is performed by Justin Carroll (Hammond organ), Eric Biondo (beatbox vocals, trumpet) and dancers Fearghus O’Conchuir, Nanette Kincaid and Katherine O’Malley.

Catapult Dance Company was formed in 2001 by Artistic Director Rebecca Walter. Since then, the company has performed at many festivals, including the Dublin Fringe Festival, ESB Dublin Jazz Festival, Westport Arts Festival, Informal European Theatre Meeting (Galway), Longford Dance Festival, Eigse Carlow Arts Festival, Feile na Bealtaine (Dingle) – as well as numerous venues such as Dublin City University (The Hub), Mermaid Arts Centre (Bray), Irish World Music Centre (University of Limerick), and the Institute of Choreography and Dance (Cork).
