Rebecca Collins is a singer-songwriter, a pale girl, southern-born. She spends most of her time trying to pin down the unspeakable with songs – music makes life easier in that respect.
Her influences are widespread but to say something here about Annette Peacock, Tom Waits, the dark underbelly of the natural world, sneaking optimism, Erykah Badu, Amália Rodrigues, and drinking with jazz nerds wouldn’t be entirely inappropriate.
She has been a guest performer with renowned out-there composer Roger Doyle, sings with quirky Jewish ensemble Triple Piglet, and washes out her soul every Sunday as part of the Modern Gospel Ensemble.
All things considered though, Rebecca’s speciality is just songs.
Rebecca will be joined by:
Justin Carroll – keyboards
Kevin Brady – drums
Ruaidhrí O’Donovan – bass
Plus special guest musicians on the night.
