RADIO MACBETH

Tickets: 20

Late at night in the guts of an abandoned theatre, a group of actors struggle to rehearse Shakespeare’s most magnetic play. They circle restlessly around the shared warmth of a rehearsal table, while around them the ghosts of all previous productions hover in the gloom, each with an axe to grind… Two-time Obie Award-winning director, Anne Bogart is particularly noted for her illuminating reconsiderations of Shakespeare’s plays. Her co-director, Darron L West, has created an extraordinarily vivid sound environment reminiscent of the era of 1940’s live radio plays, creating yet another spellbinding dimension to this intriguing production. ‘It will bring theatre lovers to their knees’ The New York Sun.
