IN BELLA COPIA

Tickets: 15.00

Déjà Donné is at the vanguard of a new breed of dance companies emerging from Europe. This company (formed in 1997), has, in a very short space of time, become internationally acclaimed for its playful, exhilarating and explosive style of dance. In ‘In Bella Copia’ six superb dancers take to the stage in a highly charged, theatrical work of such compelling intensity that it leaves the audience speechless. This work plumbs the depths of human emotion with an almost fierce candour acutely reflected in the dramatic and daring choreography. However; agitated, erotic and aggressive movement is interspersed with moments of gentle lyricism, tenderness and humour and the result is a work of remarkably satisfying cohesion.

This show is not suitable for children.

‘Watching ‘In Bella Copia’ you are laughing and aching at the same time.’

The Village Voice

‘With the agitated nature of the dancing and the extremeness of the interactions onstage, ‘In Bella Copia’ could have the effect of keeping one awake far into the night.’ The New York Times
