AMOUR, ACIDE ET NOIX

Tickets: 22

Four dancers stripped bare, no clothing to hide behind, their human fragility revealed. Amour, acide et noix explores our need for solitude and interaction.

The skin is the ultimate costume.  Behind it lie muscles, water, energy, breath, desires, fears – the shadows of our souls.  With no clothing to hide behind, the tenderness of touch and the harshness of life become all the more immediate.

Since its creation in 2001, Amour, acide et noix has toured extensively worldwide, and was presented in Cork in 2004.  DDF is pleased to invite Daniel Léveillé Danse back to Ireland to perform this remarkable work, which marked a turning point in his creative direction.

“The four nude dancers in Léveillé’s Amour, acide et noix don’t just invite our gaze, they demand it.”

The Village Voice

There will be a post-show discussion moderated by Finola Cronin on Monday May 11.
