An exhibition riff from Every Version Belongs to Myth, curated by Tessa Giblin and Amalia Pica at Project Arts Centre, Dublin, October, 2009. Just as stories, myths and legends are handed on from one story-teller to another, written, preserved, or re-contextualised in new situations, artworks, too undergo change and evolution as they are seen and re-seen, written about in various ways and encountered in different circumstances. The Chained Lady, the Microscope and the Southern Fish is an accumulation of artworks which all hold the potential to change – adapt to new environments, collect meaning over time, or provide an abstract mirror to reflect an unstable world.
